Student Organizations

Incorporating Our Marks

Student organizations, clubs and intramural groups wishing to use any of the University’s registered names, logos or marks on uniforms, apparel, equipment, event graphics or any other materials must request approval from Licensing.

Designing Merch

Designing your own merchandise artwork? Follow these brand standards and request Licensing approval before you begin production. Sports clubs should reach out to UREC before submission to ensure correct use of marks.

Check University standards for using the logo, approved colors, and other brand guides.
The student organization must include the official name of the club or chapter under the mark and on the front of the product.

Purchasing Orders

If approved for production, merchandise must be ordered through a licensed vendor. Depending on the item or its purpose, royalties may be required. Approved vendors can be found through the CLC Licensee Search.

If approved items are for internal use (i.e. a uniform), an Internal Vendor (designated as such in the CLC search) must be used.
If approved items are to be resold for any value, money, goods or other exchange, a Standard Licensee must be used.

Student organizations may not sell t-shirts or promotional items outside of group membership, including to the general public and over the Internet, unless given explicit permission.
