Become a Licensed Vendor

Collegiate Licensing Company

Vendors wishing to apply for a license to distribute UNC Charlotte merchandise must apply through our licensing representative, the Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC). Not every vendor that applies for a license is approved.

Vendors who become licensed are required to attach the “Officially Licensed Collegiate Products” label to their affiliation.

Retail vs. Internal License

There are two types of licenses our vendors use – retail and internal.

Apply for a License

Retail License

Allows a company to produce and sell trademarked products in designated retail settings, direct to consumers, and to university departments, organizations and related entities.

Internal License

Allows a company to produce and sell trademarked products ONLY for internal university departments, organizations and other related entities. (Cannot provide at retail or direct to consumers.)

Determining Factors

Not all vendors will be approved as a licensee. At CLC’s discretion, the determination for approval takes several areas into account.
