About Licensing

What is Licensing?

The Licensing Department at Charlotte is responsible for monitoring, approving and upholding the University’s name and logos. Permission must be requested to use them, and approved use must be done so correctly. We work with the Collegiate Licensing Company to combat trademark infringement and help our Niner community find apparel and other items from reputable, licensed vendors.

Our Marks

UNC Charlotte has registered names, initials, logos and trademarks to protect from unauthorized use and abuse, meaning any individual, group or company – whether internal or external – must obtain permission before using or reproducing these logos and images.
