How to Use Trademarks

Requesting Permission

UNC Charlotte has registered names, initials, logos and trademarks to protect them from unauthorized use and abuse. Federal Trademark laws protect the use of the University’s marks. Permission is required to use or reproduce any of our logos, images or other marks.

If permission is granted, the use of any requested marks must be within the limits of this permission.

Designing with Marks

On-campus groups may request use of trademarks for official business within the limits of permission granted. Learn about the request process and how to correctly use the marks for your designs.

Obtaining a License

Any individual or company desiring to reproduce any one of these logos on items must be licensed through Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC). Please contact them at licensing@clc.com for information on how to obtain a license to reproduce these.
